Gallery Concept

We deal, as seller and advisor, with European paintings, works on paper, and sculptures dating from 13th to the 20th century. When we offer a work for sale, it is handpicked for its quality, interest, and rarity within a broad range of price points. Our bespoke advisory service gives every type of collector the opportunity to discover desirable artworks with real value.

In our experience, today’s art collectors approach European Masters with vastly different mindsets: some have an exclusive interest in this area, while others are also drawn to contemporary art, Chinese ink paintings or other genres. Known for his curatorial insight and imaginative approach to art dealing, Nicholas Hall regularly showcases European Masters with experimental themes to encourage an understanding of the works beyond their traditional historical context. We invite both traditional and adventurous collectors to join us in exploring different ways of appreciating these fine works of art.

As the art market becomes increasingly global, we are keen to connect buyers, sellers, institutions, critics, scholars, restorers, and others in the art community across the world through a shared passion for European Masters. We have been a driving force for bringing connoisseurship in our field to new collectors, especially in Eastern Europe and East Asia, and the native Russian and Mandarin speakers on our team can ensure that our expertise is shared in these languages with accuracy. Through personal contacts, frequent visits, and semi-public lectures in East Asia, our personal network draws us into one of the most exciting regions in the current art market, where inventiveness and open-mindedness often characterize the approach to collecting, inspiring us to show European Masters in a new light.
